It was first established in the wartime barracks at Wellingdon Camp, Club Road, New Delhi but was eventually shifted to Aravali Campus in Subroto Park, Delhi Cantt, in May 1967.<\/p>\n<p>Ever since, it is being successfully run by the Air Force Educational and Cultural Society. The word &#8216;Central&#8217; was dropped from &#8216;Air Force Central School&#8217; during the Silver Jubilee in 1980. The TAFS Alumni Association was later registered around 2008\/2009. However, later, it was coined as CENTAFS by affixing &#8216;CEN&#8217; to TAFS to make.it cater to all ex-students from 1955 to date. by affixing &#8216;CEN&#8217; to TAFS to cater to all ex-students from the year 1955 onwards.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h5>CENTAFS Association:<\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li>The managing committees of CENTAFS have provided a great platform to the ex-students and staff of The Air Force School to connect with their batch mates and alma mater and contribute to the school&#8217;s development.<\/li>\n<li>These committees have served the members from time to time. They have created some of the most unforgettable memories for ex-students through Sports or Cultural events, Carnivals, Fund Raising Events, Reunions, and much more.<\/li>\n<li>The channel provides personal and professional support to the members of the community.<\/li>\n<li>The managing committee of CENTAFS organizes many fundraising programs for school developmental projects.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5><\/h5>\n<h5>The Air Force School (TAFS): K12 Institution:<\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li>TAFS is renowned for being the torchbearer of many educational institutes that are aspiring to make a difference in society. A highly prestigious association of the top 24 schools of India whose chairmanship is enjoyed by the former Principals of TAFS.<\/li>\n<li>All the mentors at TAFS keenly guide and encourage students to become the best version of themselves. The greatest achievement is that many students have already succeeded in achieving their target or goals.Because of the mentor\u2019s unconditional and dedicated efforts many students have successfully achieved their targets\/goals.<\/li>\n<li>The vision of TAFS is to empower students with a global edge, a unique blend of acquisition of life skills, and academic excellence. It also envisions they to assist the students in developing a strong value system and a with a versatile personality.<\/li>\n<li>TAFS has greatly contributed to enriching the world with a pool of the best performers.<\/li>\n<li>With the efficacy of the vision and mission of the founders of TAFS, along with the effectiveness of their well-thought-out plans and strategies of implementation, CENTAFS alumni have scaled the toughest challenges to secure top-notch positions in their career, contributing to social as well as national causes.<\/li>\n<li>The alumni use the CENTAFS platform to spread the word about how much they are grateful they are to TAFS&#8217; mentors for their role during their formative learning years.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>TAFS Alumni Association must therefore complement its Alma Mater, befittingly, in its vision and mission, scope and operations, glory and place amongst the top few.<\/p>\n<p><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Systemic Change &#8211; Need of The Hour<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 The present transformative age demands technology-driven management. It is beyond the capability and dedication of the best of the teams to manually create and manage a huge database of students and staff covering the years from 1955 onwards, a period of more than 65 years!<\/p>\n<p><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Embracing Digital Technology<\/strong>\u00a0Technology is the way forward to open channels of growth and expansion. Generating and processing a huge amount of data of CENTAFSIAN spread across the globe will then become easier and more efficient.
